A survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in February 2026 revealed that 49% of U.S. adults reported using AI chatbots, up from 33% in 2024. Nearly one-quarter of respondents (24%) said they use AI chatbots daily. “Search for information” was the most common use for AI chatbots, followed by “tasks at work” (among employed adults) and “fun or entertainment.”
