FactSet reported that 112 of the 503 companies that comprise the S&P 500 Index had issued earnings per share (EPS) guidance for Q3'25 as of 10/6/25. Of that total, 56 companies issued positive EPS guidance while 56 issued negative EPS guidance. The S&P 500 Information Technology Index accounted for 36 of the56 companies issuing positive EPS guidance for the quarter. The figure represents the highest number of technology companies to issue positive EPS guidance at this point in the earnings season since FactSet began tracking the metric in 2006.
