Investment Goal

Level of Protection

Certain Target Outcome strategies aim to provide a buffer against market losses while still offering capped upside potential. Ideal for clients seeking market participation with a predefined level of loss mitigation over a set outcome period.

Target Outcome Buffer Funds

These funds seek to maintain a level of protection in down markets through a downside buffer while taking advantage of growth opportunities in up markets to a predetermined maximum cap.

Target Outcome Floor Funds

These funds seek to absorb a portion of the reference asset’s losses over each outcome period, with no additional losses beyond a predetermined limit.

Growth

Growth-focused Target Outcome strategies are designed to provide equity market upside participation up to a predetermined cap. They offer defined growth potential over a specified time frame, along with built-in buffers intended to help manage downside exposure during periods of market volatility.

Target Outcome Growth Funds

These funds seek to provide enhanced return potential within a targeted upside range.

Target Outcome Enhance
& Moderate Funds

These funds seek to provide returns of approximately twice any positive price return of the underlying reference asset while also providing a downside buffer.

Income

Income-focused Target Outcome strategies seek to provide income potential, with certain strategies also offering a level of downside protection during market declines.

Target Outcome Buffer & Premium Income Funds

These funds seek to provide a level of protection in down markets through a downside buffer while providing monthly income potential.

Target Income Funds

These funds seek to provide a consistent level of income while maintaining the opportunity for price appreciation.

Criteria Definitions

  • Reference Assets - Select the underlying asset on which the Target Outcome Strategy is based. Each reference asset defines the market exposure and determines how the fund's buffer and cap are structured using options on that reference asset.
  • Series Type - Filter by outcome series, quarterly, annual or both, that corresponds with your timeline. Each series offers a defined outcome period, which can help manage market exposure with built-in structure.
  • Strategies - Select the strategy type filter to view funds by their specific structure. Each strategy reflects a distinct method of balancing risk and return, allowing you to explore options consistent with your investment objectives.
  • Remaining Buffer - Use this filter to view ETFs by their remaining buffer based upon the fund’s current value. This helps identify funds with the right level of remaining downside protection for your risk tolerance, whether you prefer a higher remaining buffer level for more protection or lower remaining buffer for greater upside potential.
  • Downside Before Floor - Use this filter to view ETFs by their remaining amount of fund loss before the Floor takes effect based on the Fund’s current value. This helps identify funds with your preferred level of downside protection based on your risk tolerance, whether that’s a higher downside for more protection or a lower downside for greater upside potential.
  • Max Remaining Total Return - Use this filter to view ETFs by their maximum remaining total return based upon the Fund’s current value assuming the Reference Asset meets or exceeds the Buffer End Reference Asset Value. This return is based on the Fund Value relative to the Starting Fund Value plus any Remaining Distribution. Investors do not participate in any price appreciation of the Reference Asset above the Starting Fund Value and will be subject to losses of the Underlying ETF below the Buffer End level.
  • 30 Day SEC Yield - Use this filter to view Target Income ETFs by their 30-day SEC yield. This helps identify funds that align with your income goals, whether you prefer higher yields or more moderate payouts, while still offering a level of downside protection.
  • Distribution Rate - Use this filter to view Target Income ETFs by their annualized distribution rate. This helps identify funds that align with your income goals, whether you prefer higher distributions or more moderate payouts, while still offering a level of downside protection.
  • Remaining Cap - Use this filter to view ETFs by their remaining cap based upon the Fund’s current value. This helps identify funds with the desired level of remaining upside potential.
  • Sentiment Type - Select based on market sentiment: Bullish, Neutral, or Bearish. This filter helps you explore Target Outcome ETFs with buffer and cap structures that correspond to your market outlook and risk preferences.
  • Projected Reference Asset Price Return - The anticipated return of a fund based on its current buffer and cap levels. This helps assess potential performance under different market conditions, allowing for better-informed investment decisions.
  • Remaining Outcome Period - Use this filter to view ETFs based on the number of days remaining in their outcome period. This can help you evaluate funds approaching a reset or those earlier in their term, depending on your preferred timing for exposure.
