Hagerty, Inc. reported that sales from auctions at the 2026 Monterey Car Week totaled a record $755.6 million, up from $432.7 million last year. The most expensive car sold at Monterey was a 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, which fetched $42.9 million. A 1996 McLaren F1 GTR sold for the second-highest price (excluding the charity lot), coming in at $34.7 million.
