Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies (JCHS) reported that U.S. homeowners spent $517 billion on improvements and repairs over the 12-month period ended Q2’26, up from $507 billion over the same period in 2025. The JCHS forecasts that trailing 12-month U.S. home improvement and repair expenditures will reach $519 billion in Q2’27.
