SIFMA Research reported that the value of outstanding U.S. fixed income securities (Treasuries, corporate and municipal bonds, agency securities, and commercial paper) totaled $47.8 trillion at the close of Q2'25, an increase of 5.5% year-over-year (y-o-y). U.S. Treasuries were the largest asset class by size, increasing by 5.9% y-o-y to $28.7 trillion at the end of Q2'25. Corporate bond assets outstanding totaled $11.4 trillion, followed by municipal bonds and agency securities at $4.3 trillion and $2.1 trillion, respectively.
