The National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics estimate that per-person spending on costumes, candy, and other items for Halloween will total $114.45 on average in 2025, an increase of nearly $11 year-over-year, according to its own release. Halloween spending is expected to total a record $13.1 billion this year, up from $11.6 billion in 2024. Spending on costumes, decorations, and candy is expected to reach $4.3 billion, $4.2 billion, and $3.9 billion, respectively this year.
