Kelley Blue Book (KBB) reported that U.S. sales of fully electric vehicles (EV) declined 27% year-over-year to 216,399 units in Q1'26. For comparison, EV sales suffered a 36% year-over-year decline in Q4'25, which KBB largely attributed to the end of government-backed sales incentives at the start of the quarter.
