Gartner, Inc. reported that worldwide shipments of personal computers (PC) increased by 9.1% year-over-year to 270.2 million units in 2025, up from 247.6 million in 2024. Rising memory chip prices and the Windows 11 upgrade cycle were major catalysts behind increased PC shipments during the year.
